Canada Pension Plan Reforms Viewed as Model for Pension Reform Around the World

TORONTO, ON (December 10, 2007): The CPP Investment Board, the investment management organization that invests Canada’s national pension fund assets, today highlighted the success of the Canada Pension Plan reforms of 1997 and the strength of the CPP Investment Board’s unique governance structure. The comments were made today at a C.D. Howe Institute conference in Toronto that marked the tenth anniversary of the CPP reforms.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Announces Partial Takeover Offer For Auckland International Airport Limited Shares

AUCKLAND, NZ (November 16, 2007): The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) today announced details of a partial takeover offer for Auckland International Airport Limited (AIAL) shares. The all-cash partial takeover offer will offer shareholders consideration of $3.6555 per AIAL share, which represents a value of 22.2x Auckland International Airport Limited’s FY2007 EBITDA.

CPP Fund Increases to $121.3 Billion

TORONTO, ON (November 9, 2007): The CPP Fund grew to $121.3 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2007, an increase of $0.8 billion from $120.5 billion at the end of the previous quarter, and an increase of $4.7 billion for the first six months of the fiscal year.

General statement of intention from CPP Investment Board regarding Auckland International Airport Limited

(Auckland, NZ) November 7, 2007 - The CPP Investment Board (CPPIB) today announced its intention to make a partial takeover offer to all shareholders of Auckland International Airport Limited (AIAL). If successful, the offer would increase CPPIB’s shareholding in AIAL to 40%, which CPPIB believes would then enable its amalgamation proposal to be put to shareholders for their consideration.
